The United States may be deploying a second amphibious assault ship to the Middle East, signaling a potential escalation in regional tensions involving Iran.

According to U.S. officials, the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer, carrying approximately 2,500 Marines, could be heading to the region along with supporting warships. Officials have not confirmed a specific mission and emphasized that no decision has been made regarding ground operations.
